Dmitra Danilenko-Dixon, M.A. LPCC, NCC
Working with people has always been a passion of mine, and I was lucky enough to discover my calling as a therapist as early as high school. I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology at the University of Minnesota - Duluth, while obtaining a minor in Deaf Studies/ American Sign Language. Prior to moving to Colorado, I took time to become a teacher in Thailand. I had the opportunity to travel overseas while immersing myself into numerous cultures. I moved to Colorado in 2015 to receive my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Regis University, and I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). During my education, I worked as a behavioral specialist for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other mental health disorders.
Additionally, my internship lead me to become a counselor working with substance abuse, trauma, and dual diagnoses. I am excited to continue my journey in working with substance abuse, trauma, and LGBTQ issues. My next accomplishment will be continuing my education towards becoming a Licensed Addiction Counselor. In my spare time, I enjoy being in the mountains, reading, attending live music, and spending time with loved ones."
