Jennifer Yeater, M.A., MFTC
I am a graduate of Regis University's accredited Marriage and Family Therapy Master's program. I have also studied play therapy techniques as an addition to my therapy skills. I have been a high school psychology teacher for the past 12 years and I am dedicated and knowledgeable in working with children, teens and their families.
You, your child, or your family may be dealing with frequent stress, sadness, anxieties, feelings of defeat, or lack of communication; or your child or teen may be struggling with school, defiance, or mood swings and you may be struggling to help your child, or yourself, cope. Whatever the situation I am here to help. Trying to deal with these societal and life pressures can be difficult and emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting, especially for kids and teens. It is important to remember that is ok to ask for help and support for yourself, child, or family because you are not alone in this.
As your therapist I will walk alongside you as my client to meet you where you are at mentally and emotionally. I will create a safe space to listen, to validate and to support you so together we find what is needed for the next chapter in your, your child’s, or your family’s life. I am eager to help you and yours navigate the dilemmas you may be facing. I understand taking the leap in beginning therapy can be a difficult and intimidating step but I believe therapy is one of the greatest forms of self-care particularly in times when we lose clarity in our life and need assistance. Change is inevitable and can be scary but we can progress and grow most when we feel consistently safe and supported.
